The Neighborhood of La Boca
One of Buenos Aires' oldest barrios, La Boca, is also one of its most recognized, owing to its brightly painted residences and cobbled streets. These conventillos housed the many Italian immigrants that came to work at the city's historic port. Today the neighborhood is a hotspot for tourists who want to wander around the colorful storefronts and cafes, but more importantly get a glimpse into the city's tango culture.
